Product Description

The Slide 2 PC scanner converts photo prints, 35mm slides, and negatives into digital pictures straight to a SD card. It couldn’t be easier. Just one button starts the scan, which takes an average of one to two seconds! The auto focus, auto exposure, and auto-color balance functions will automatically optimise the photos for you which means you don't have to be a technical whiz to make great digital images. Basically the scanner makes high-resolution scans of your colour and black & white slides and film negatives so that they can be shared and enjoyed by family and friends once again.

One of the best features of this scanner is that photos can be viewed through the colour screen display as they are scanned straight to the SD card so there is no need for a computer to make it work.  However the PICS 2 SD scanner can be connected to your Mac or PC and used as a handy SD card reader.  Pictures on the PICS 2 SD can be dragged and dropped right onto your desktop.

Simple Negative/Slide/Photo Copier

While not strictly a scanner since this device takes a 5MP photo of your original format the end result is good. Loading film strips and slides into the carrier is simple and straightforward. The "scan" time is very quick as is the save to memory card meaning that you can get through a lot of scans in a short space of time. There are some basic adjustments that can be made during the process but most people will prefer to do their manipulation in their favourite photo editing software. Good value for the average user but will not be good enough for exacting photographers.
